Chef Akil Caruth can really dust-off his shoulders for gracing the Caribbean Food & Drink Expo (CFDE) 2015 with his delicious cheese cake. The event was held at the High Commission of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and hosted people from the world of media, beauty pageant organisers and their Pageant Queens from the Caribbean, Caribbean Business Owners, Dignitaries, Chefs and hungry foodies.
The Expo presented by CaribDirect and Fairweather Promotions plan to launch a Caribbean Cookout as an annual outdoor event in 12th July 2015. This event also incorporates a conference that will provide one 2 one sessions for people looking to expand their catering business. It will also provide for visitors to sample food and drinks from supplier and exhibitors of the finest Caribbean food.
More so, the CFDE look to enable many discussions and network opportunities, and extent discussions at every opportunity around Caribbean food and it’s availability in boroughs around the UK. With delights offered by Chef Akil, the mission was very much believable if not taken as a given that Caribbean food will be serious competition to other food sellers in the UK.
We attended this event with the intention of extending art in the form of cooking to our viewers and Chef Akil fully answered our call.
